• Draft document undergoing WG8 national bodies
  review

IFMS Part 3- Interoperability within a
Multi-Application Environment

• Objective A Technical Report addressing
  multi-application of IFMS, the interoperability
  and the business practices within a
  multi-application environment
• Status
• Approved PWI September 16, 2009
• Draft Terms and Definitions document was updated
  based on joint working group meeting June 18-19,
  2009 in Cologne, Germany
• Milestones
• Draft document will be revised and distributed
  for comment by October 16, 2009
• Comments are due by December 31, 2009

IFMS Part 4- Public Transport Requirements for
Use of Payment Applications for Fare Media

• Objective Define the regulations and other
  technical matters needed to provide transport
  tickets with contactless third party open payment
  media. The first use case will be EMV. Future
  use cases non-EMV bankcards, non-bank-issued
  payment media (ACH cards, pre-paid credit/debit
  instruments, etc.), and mobile devices.

• New PWI Ballot deadline November 27, 2009

Catalog of Worldwide Standards on Public
Transport Information

• Objective A Technical Report cataloging the
  standards that address public transport
  information concepts and exchange
• Compares these standards with respect to a
  reference data model, list of attributes,
  conformance, extensibility, and maintenance
• Status
• Approved PWI September 16, 2009
• Milestones
• Conduct two workshops in North America- TBD

Public Transport for the World Traveler

• Objective A Technical Report to address problems
  and barriers to world travelers, particularly in
  the area of developing a common interface
  consisting of a comprehensive set of basic
  information
• Status
• Initial research findings presented at WG8

• Further discussion and refinement occurred at WG8

Summary of Requested Actions

• Resolution
• WG8 requests TC 204 to inform all heads of
  delegations of the P-members of TC 204 for the
  avoidance of doubt to advise them that the
  supporting document to the form 4 is provided
  simply to clarify and does not constitute an
  indication of how the scope of work should be
  implemented.
• WG8 requests ISO TC 204 to change the deadline
  for the voting to the date 27th of November 2009
  (Balloting No PWI 14806).

  public transport data terms and concepts
  primarily related to passenger information drawn
  from the various national and regional
  experiences to date, leading to the preparation
  of a Technical Report.
