is far above jewels. 11The heart of her husband
trusts in her, And he will have no lack of gain.
12She does him good and not evil All the days of
her life. 13She looks for wool and flax And works
with her hands in delight. 14She is like merchant
ships She brings her food from afar. 15She rises
also while it is still night And gives food to
her household And portions to her maidens. 16She
considers a field and buys it From her earnings
she plants a vineyard. 17She girds herself with
strength And makes her arms strong.

3
Proverbs 3119-24
  • 18She senses that her gain is good Her lamp does
not go out at night. 19She stretches out her
hands to the distaff, And her hands grasp the
spindle. 20She extends her hand to the poor, And
she stretches out her hands to the needy. 21She
is not afraid of the snow for her household, For
all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22She
makes coverings for herself Her clothing is fine
linen and purple. 23Her husband is known in the
gates, When he sits among the elders of the land.
24She makes linen garments and sells them, And
    supplies belts to the tradesmen.

4
Proverbs 3125-31
  • 25Strength and dignity are her clothing, And she
smiles at the future. 26She opens her mouth in
wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her
tongue. 27She looks well to the ways of her
household, And does not eat the bread of
idleness. 28Her children rise up and bless her
Her husband also, and he praises her,
saying29Many daughters have done nobly, But you
excel them all. 30Charm is deceitful and beauty
is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she
shall be praised. 31Give her the product of her
hands, And let her works praise her in the gates.

often found among women, than men. She will
endure with the unkind, unloving, unstable,
sinful conduct of an ungrateful husband in trying
to preserve her marriage, give her children a
    home, save her husbands soul.

A woman of virtue hasWorth Beyond Compare
  • As God place so great a value on virtue and on
the various woman, we must learn to see and to
appreciate this value. God ordained that we
    express our admiration, affection, and
appreciation for the godly woman. Vv. 28,31
  • women who have proved themselves pulpit comm.
    P605
  • Selfishness and worldliness may hinder us from
giving this praise while we can, but it is sinful
ingratitude for us to be so hindered. Let us
learn to see the beauty of holiness and the need
for thankfulness, that we may please God and
    fulfill his purpose
  • God will reward virtue and holiness with a home
    in heaven.

subtle ways, he seductive use of her body, he
covering up her sins, her skillful use of
    flattery

Luxury Loving WomenAmos 41-3
  • Certain women are pictured as fat cows who push
and pressure their husbands to bring home more
and more money, which leads the husbands to lie,
cheat, steal at the expense of the defenseless
poor, to be taken like fish out of water, driven
    like cattle from their pasture
  • 61-6 These women love a life of prosperity and
plenty, of ease entertainment, but they are not
concerned about sin the judgment of God

teaching because they have not grounded
themselves in the truth have no disciplined
themselves to grow in the truth

Timothy 31-9
  • False Teachers seek such women out work on them
in their homes use these women as a base of
    operations
  • Women loaded down with sins
  • we are more susceptible to error when our
    attitudes lives are not right
  • error eases any feelings of guilt opens the
    door to more sin

33
Unlearned, Unstable Women2 Peter 316-17 2
Timothy 31-9
  • Swayed , led around by various impulses desires
wanting recognition as a pioneer, a lead, or an
intellectual curiosity seeker, desire to hear or
tell some new thing, gossip monger, tale bearer,
thriving on latest rumors, attracted to certain
    men seeking their attention
  • Ever learning, but unlearned taking it all in
putting up trail balloons toying with first one
idea, then another, drawn to first one theory or
doctrine and then another never established,
edified, settled, strengthened in the faith

Unlearned, Unstable Women2 Peter 316-17 2
Timothy 31-9
  • Vv 8-9 these men and their female followers
resist the truth even when their sin error is
    exposed rebuked, they justify themselves
  • Such women can be seen in 1 Cor. 114-6
    1434-35 Rev 22-23

35
What of Today?
  • Some like Eve are listening to Satan, rushing
headlong into sin without seeking the counsel of
God or their husband, many lead their husband to
sin, are opening the door to many foolish and
hurtful lusts in their own lives and in the lives
    of generations yet to come.

36
What of Today?
  • Some like Bathsheba do not use care and caution,
and are guilty of immorality lasciviousness in
dress or even in speech and the manner by which
they conduct themselves around men. Such women
may not realize where they are leading themselves
or someone else. They may later realize their sin
turn away from it, but both they and their
loved ones may suffer the consequences for a
    lifetime

37
What of Today?
  • Some like Solomon's wives have embraced false
religions cannot be satisfied until the cause
their husband to compromise with it finally to
participate with them in it. These women will
make any sacrifice in order to defend uphold
their false teaching, even to the point of
bringing hardships sorrows harm upon their
children. Some are devoted to religions which
    exalt women above God man.

38
What of Today?
  • Others are Jezebels. Arrogant, self-willed, bull
headed. Nothing is too corrupt or degraded to be
beneath their dignity. they even practice
cover their wickedness in the name of religion.
They do not hesitate to defy Gods Word or to
threaten those who expose sin error. They will
live deceive to their way in religion, in the
home, in business, in community affairs, or in
    anything else.

39
What of Today?
  • There are still immoral women like the one in
Proverbs 7. They entice with their dress, their
touch, their speech, and in every subtle way
possible. Many a man who thought himself strong
has fallen victim to this woman and her devices

40
What of Today?
  • Many women today love luxury, prosperity,
    pleasure and ease
  • they twist their husbands, causing them to
practice deceit dishonesty in a mad rush for
    material gain.
  • These fat cattle of our day feed on the luxuriant
grass of materialism, and immorality, demanding
liberation from virtue, duty, and purity so
they can get into the arena where dog eats dog.
  • For the sake of their own pleasure, lacking
natural affection, they force their children to
suffer the ravages of isolation loneliness, of
desertion divorce, of alcohol drugs, or even
    murder them by abortion.

41
What of Today?
  • Our world even the church are still plagued by
unlearned, unstable women, False teachers still
seek women who are filled with sinful attitudes
conduct. Women moved by selfish impulses
    ungodly desires, women seeking recognition
attention, women ever learning, but learning the
    wrong things.

42
What of Today?
  • Jehovah Witnesses the Mormons, send out such
women as door to door teachers, ready to
    captivate the unlearned unsuspecting.
  • Most major denominations have put such women in
their pulpits promoted them in their
    hierarchies bureaucracies

43
What of Today?
  • Among brethren
  • In one church (Midfield, AL), the problems were
compounded by such women, The preacher who
divided the church over whether he should move
gave much attention to widows made many visits
to the homes to get the signatures of women on a
petition. When Brother Cogdill was called in to
preach on scriptural church government, one woman
called out Send The Old Goat Back to Texas!
    Women played a prominent role.

44
What of Today?
  • Among brethren
  • A woman in a church in Albuquerque, NM has been a
mainstay of error on MDR for many years, she made
charts and outlines to present her views. Such
women may project themselves as humbled
learned, but they are an evil leaven
  • Some brethren are proposing bringing women into
the general meeting of the men called to conduct
the churchs work. Such meetings involve the
exercise of leadership decision making which is
not the womans role. Unlearned, unstable women
will be greatly attracted to this new proposal,
in some cases will demand to be included, will
end up creating chaos havoc by getting involved
    in them.

45
The Sad Seduction of Sin
  • Sin promises liberty, happiness great blessing
to women, but destroys Gods ideal of the
    virtuous woman.
  • Sin promises to make us full, by leaves us empty
  • Sin offers great blessings, but delivers terrible
    curses
  • Sin promises to make us happy, but leaves us
    miserable.

46
The Sad Seduction of Sin
  • Sin offers liberty but ends in bondage
  • Sin is not the solution to out problems sin is
the problem which creates all unhappiness
    misery
  • The solution is to turn from sin back to God,
Receive forgiveness of our sins thru the blood of
Christ and lest God help us to overcome our sins,
  • Then we can love, praise, serve Him while we
live in this world, and love praise and serve him
forever in the world to come!

47
Christ Lifts Up Fallen Women And Makes Them
Virtuous
48
Luke 736-38
  • 36And one of the Pharisees desired him that he
would eat with him. And he went into the
Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. 37And,
behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner,
when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the
Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of
ointment, 38And stood at his feet behind him
weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears,
and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and
kissed his feet, and anointed them with the
    ointment.

49
Luke 739-42
  • 39Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw
it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if
he were a prophet, would have known who and what
manner of woman this is that toucheth him for
she is a sinner. 40And Jesus answering said unto
him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And
he saith, Master, say on. 41There was a certain
creditor which had two debtors the one owed five
hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42And when
they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them
both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love
    him most?

50
Luke 743-46
  • 43Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to
whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou
hast rightly judged. 44And he turned to the
woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this
woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me
no water for my feet but she hath washed my feet
with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her
head. 45Thou gavest me no kiss but this woman
since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss
my feet. 46My head with oil thou didst not
anoint but this woman hath anointed my feet with
    ointment.

51
Luke 747-50
  • 47Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are
many, are forgiven for she loved much but to
whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49And they that sat at meat with him began to say
within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth
sins also? 50And he said to the woman, Thy faith
hath saved thee go in peace.

52
Christ Forgives Their Sins
  • In Luke chapter 7, A sinful woman came into a
Pharisees house seeking forgiveness by grace.
  • She couldnt find the words to express her love
    gratitude.
  • Her humility appreciation put the Pharisees to
shame, along with all who are filled with self
    righteousness and self exaltation.

53
Christ Forgives Their Sins
  • In John 41-42, Jesus gave the Samaritan woman at
Jacob's well the true living water, the water
    of everlasting life.
  • She was guilty of immorality (vv. 16-18) and
false religion (20-22), but Jesus gave her hope.
    (23-26).
  • God cared about her and was seeking her, and she
brought others to Christ (vv 28-30).
  • In John 81-11, Wicked men saw this woman as bait
for a trap, but Jesus saw her as a precious, lost
    should lifted her up.

54
Christ Teaches ThemThe Importance of Spiritual
Things
  • Luke 1038-42
  • He taught them to put their priorities in order.
It is good for women to be busy doing good for
others, but we all must learn that the greatest
good anyone can do relates to things spiritual
    eternal.
  • Luke 81-3
  • Women who had many responsibilities in life
shared what they had for the cause of Christ
they gave of their time, talents material
    possessions (Phil 43)

55
Christ Shows ThemHow to Grow as a Virtuous Woman
  • He provides roles goals
  • 22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own
husbands, as unto the Lord. 23For the husband is
the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head
of the church and he is the saviour of the
body33Nevertheless let every one of you in
particular so love his wife even as himself and
the wife see that she reverence her husband.
    (NASB Eph. 522-24, 33)
  • She was taken from the side of to be his helper,
not from the head to be his ruler.

56
Christ Shows ThemHow to Grow as a Virtuous Woman

  • 1 Timothy 29-15 Helps define her proper sphere
    power for doing good
  • Modesty decorum in dress in public worship
reflect a true spirit of godliness (reverence,
devotion to god) they do not come seeking
attention to self, but helping to focus the
    attention of all upon God.
  • Her greatest power for spiritual good is not in
the mixed assembly for public worship, but in the
domain of the home. cf. 2 Timothy 15 315

57
Christ Shows ThemHow to Grow as a Virtuous Woman
  • He provides roles goals
  • 1 Peter 31-6 Further helps to define her roles
    and potential for good.
  • The power of her example reaches some men who
could not otherwise be reached. Purity respect
    for God, husband, and fellowman.
  • Special emphasis is given to her daily dress
her heart which regulate her dress.

58
Christ Shows ThemHow to Grow as a Virtuous Woman
  • He provides roles goals
  • 1 Peter 31-6 Further helps to define her roles
    and potential for good.
  • The repeated emphasis given to this in both the
Old and New Testaments shows that a womans
habits and patterns of dress have a far greater
