JJ's focus on employee's health is one
important factor an employee may have taken for
granted especially if he has no visible symptoms
of any illness. I was one of these employees and
I undergo annual physical examination mainly
because it was mandated by the company. Only when
the results of one of my annual PE revealed
possible heart problems had my attitude changed.
A subsequent angiogram revealed an 80-95
blockage on my heart artery. My quadruple heart
bypass operation followed in a week. All
anxieties on hospital bills was not a problem as
the company paid all the bills which is
substantial for an employee like me. I am now an
advocate of the annual PE program of the company.
