Missouri Science 2007-2008
  • Third Time (year) is a Charm..!

2
MISSOURI SCIENCE Missouri Science is a year-long
elective science class designed for
juniors/seniors with a strong interest in science
and the outdoors. The class will involve
hands-on activities, internet-based research,
reading assignments, projects and journaling
covering all aspects of science in Missouri
including Missouri animals, Missouri plants,
Missouri Public Lands, Missouri Conservation,
and outdoor recreational opportunities (fishing,
hunting, hiking, camping, floating, etc.)
available in the state of Missouri. A good
portion of the class will be spent doing physical
activities outside in all kinds of weather, for
example hiking in all seasons. Grades will be
based on class participation/attendance, journal
writing, skills testing, and attitude/leadership.
The class will also require participation in a
community service-action project such as a
school-wide recycling program.
