ALL Executive Committee Members
  • To attend weekly executive meetings
  • To be able to work efficiently in a team
    environment
  • To fulfill your respective duties as assigned
  • To endorse all official club projects or
    documents pertaining to your area of
    responsibility
  • To assist your fellow Executives wherever
    possible or as needed
  • To contribute ideas and suggestions for club
    activities and events

President
  • To control and manage the operations of the club
    and maintain efficiency therein
  • To set goals and expectations for the club and
    ensure they are achieved
  • To maintain order and enforce club policy
  • To maintain a positive environment for all
    members and execs
  • To make final decisions on executive issues which
    yield a tie-vote
  • To set meeting times and any other relevant
    schedules
  • To organize agenda and lead both Executive and
    General meetings
  • To facilitate ideas and proposals presented by
    members and other executives
  • To instigate networking with other clubs and
    relegate outside individuals and organizations
  • To efficiently delegate responsibilities and
    assignments to Executives and/or members
  • To endorse all official club documents
  •  To be the focal point of communication within
    the Executive Committees

Vice President
  • To be the primary support for the President
  • To assume the duties of the President in his/her
    absence
  • To assist the President in all duties including
    maintaining order, efficiency, and a positive
    environment, enforcing policy, decision making,
    scheduling and so on..
  • To also endorse all official club documents

Secretary
  • To take minutes in all official club meetings
  • To create, manage and update all official club
    files, records and documents
  • To keep track of stationary and other club
    equipment and setup any reorders as necessary
  •  To secure and properly equip club office space
    for the year
  •  To communicate any relevant administrative
    activity or changes within the club to other
    Execs and/or members
  •  To work with all other execs regarding any
    documentation required for their
    areas/responsibilities

Treasurer
  •  To conduct all financial activities on the
    club's behalf (including managing the club bank
    account, keeping expense accounts and generally
    managing the club's bookkeeping)
  • To create and provide any necessary budgets and
    financial documentation to the Committee members
  • To keep up with all club funding opportunities
    (pick up and fill out applications, etc.) and to
    keep the rest of the committee up-to-date

Membership Director
  • To monitor and organize membership sign-up and
    files
  • Ensure efficiency in the membership and
    record-keeping process
  • To find means by which to maximize/improve the
    membership experience
  • To increase recruitment and recruitment
    opportunities
  • To keep records of membership, member activity,
    interest, and involvement
  • To liaison with the other Execs on behalf of the
    members/be the official member representative and
    general point of communication on the Executive
    committee

VP-Marketing
  • To create and enforce a positive, reputable, and
    sellable ?brand' name for CUJAM
  • To create and implement innovative marketing
    strategies for the organization on a whole as
    well as individual events
  • To organize flyering, postering, and designing of
    promotional material for CUJAM

VP-Communications
  • To be the main spokesperson and point of
    communication between CUJAM and all external
    parties including media and outside organizations
  • To maintain a relationship on behalf of the club
    with all outside organizations and individuals

VP- Information and Technology
  • To provide all necessary technical support for
    the club and its activities
  • To edit, update and operate the club website
    www.cujam.ca
  • To provide the other Execs with any technical
    innovation which may assist with their duties in
    any way.
  • To ensure all technical equipment for activities
    or events is properly setup and operating
  • To be responsible for requesting equipment from
    York for events and ensuring they are delivered
    on time

Events Coordinator (2 Positions)
  • To plan, organize, and execute all duties and
    responsibilities leading up to and resulting in
        any club events or activities
  • To make and maintain all contacts relevant to the
    planning and coordination of club events
  • To organize teams of members whenever necessary
    to help with event setup and operations
