Welcome Introduction

• The welcome address was given by Mr.Sharat
  Chandra, Director, Butterfly Fields
• He highlighted the work done by Butterfly Fields.
• This was followed by a slide show presentation of
  Butterfly Fields.
• The welcome lamp was lit by Mrs. Madhu Sharma,
  Principal of Diamond Jubilee High School, Abids
• The Panel Discussion followed.

• Topic of Discussion Board Exams
• being made optional, its implications?
• Some concerns such as how to motivate students,
  etc. were also discussed.
• Overall the move was appreciated but a lot more
  had to be done was the underlying thought.

Exhibition

• Models , Learning Aidds Display Posters and
  Charts were exhibited and were greatly
  appreciated

Ice Breaker

• The Ice Breaker Session was conducted by
  M.Nikhilendra of Butterfly Fields.
• All the participants were shuffled and divided
  into groups of 5.
• All the groups were challenged to assemble broken
  pieces of squares to form full squares and the
  highlight was that all groups could successfully
  complete it within the given time.

Ice Breaker Cont..

• The Ice Breaker session continued with some of
  the educational games developed by Butterfly
  Fields, like Nutrimania, Jungle Maze, etc.
• All the participants found the games pretty
  interesting and educational.

Demonstrations

• The post lunch session started with the
  demonstrations by Nikhilendra and Ravi Chandra
• Various interesting activities involving basic
  and important concepts were demonstrated.

Puzzles, Quips and Riddles - Prof. Surender
Reddy

• P-Q-R Technique explained by Prof. Surender Reddy
  was quite and interesting one and was applauded
  by all.
• He explained the importance of PQR Technique and
  its attributes.
• The presentation was very lively and humorous.

Hands on Activities Kamal, Uday, Srikanth

• Hands on activities was conducted where all the
  participants took part enthusiastically.
• The participants were asked to make the tallest
  structure possible, with straws.

Hands on Activities Cont

• This next activity was to make a Hover Craft.
• Competition was held for all the hover crafts
  made.

Next Steps -Selection of Topics and Host Schools

• The next steps of FIT were discussed.
• The Global Indian International School (GIIS)
  came forward to host the next session of FIT.

Closure

• Open House followed the Tea Break and closed with
  the presentation of certificates.
• Individual Feedback was collected from all the
  participants.
• We thank each and every one for making this event
  a grand success.
