  • Subdivisions of Programme The Fifth Framework
    Programme (FP5) has two distinct parts
  • The Fifth European Community (EC) Framework
    Programme, covering research, technological
    development and demonstration activities and,
  • the Fifth Euratom Framework Programme covering
    research and training activities in the nuclear
    sector.
  • FP5 has a simplified, multi-theme structure,

  • INitiative and CO-ordination to prepare
    LABoratories in Newly Associated States for full
    implementation of the Low-Voltage Directive (LVD)

INCOLAB general objectives
  • Transfer of knowledge and expertise between the
    EU project members and NAS project members
    related to the full implementation of LVD.
  • Establishment and/or improvement of technical,
    administrative and socio-economic infrastructures
    related to the LVD in the NAS project members.
  • Establishment of relations among all project
    members as well as among project participants on
    a national level of each participating country,
    particularly in the NAS
  • Clearly identified priorities and specifics of
    development of technical infrastructure in NAS.
  • Analysis of socio-economic, financial and legal
    aspects of development of MT infrastructures.
  • Creation of generic knowledge related to
    implementation of the LVD, which could be used
    with other technical directives as well.
