Progress Summary

• Completed and turned in the first report
• Built the circuit for the regular design of the
  transceiver module
• Tested the receiver and transmitter
• Started to solder in the parts for the aggressive
  design

Oops!! might have blown up the PD!!

• Got confused between the cathode and the anode
• Grounded the cathode pin of the photodetector
• Remedy scratched off the connection between
  ground and cathode pin, reversed the PD on the
  board

• When constructing the board initially, we
  soldered in the common cathode VCSEL with the
  anode going to ground.
• After we fixed this, no signal was transmitting
