Feasibility Study Status
  • The ICTAP Team has collected data from the 50
    sites
  • The surveys schedule for this week will conclude
    the site visits
  • no further visits are planned
  • The staff is reviewing data and plotting coverage
    maps
  • The final report is scheduled for release in
    Mid-December

Feasibility Study
  • ICTAP feasibility study consist of the following
  • Site surveys of existing State RF radio sites and
    infrastructure
  • Data capture of existing State RF equipment
  • Data from questionnaires
  • RF coverage using existing LMR equipment and
    infrastructure _at_ 460 MHz vs 700 MHz
  • Interoperability of RF frequency bands VHF, UHF,
    700 MHz and 800 MHZ

Feasibility Study
  • What the SIEC can expect from the feasibility
    study
  • ICTAPs study of the states radio communications
    equipment will help the SIEC obtain a clear
    understanding of
  • The conditions of the states RF / Microwaves
    sites
  • Current inventory of states existing
    RF/Microwave equipment infrastructure
  • Feasibility of radio coverage for the State of
    Idaho proposed statewide 700Mhz radio
    communications system as compared to a UHF state
    wide system
  • The interoperability of radio communications for
    first responders using frequency bands in the
    VHF,UHF, 800MHz and proposed 700MHz radio
    systems.
