A Project Im Interested InCOSI
  • Studio-based teaching is well established in
    physics, architecture and the arts, and has been
    used in ICT at the University of Queensland since
    1999 as part of the Information Environments
    programme.
  • Collaborative Online Studio Initiative (COSI)
    focuses on interaction and infrastructure for
    collaborative online learning in engineering, IT
    and multimedia courses.
  • COSI is staffed by Aaron Tan Ralf Muhlberger.

COSI COSI the Education Cloud
  • COSI is looking at desktop tool usage such as
    Google Docs, CiteULike, Delicious (formerly
    del.icio.us), Wikis, etc.
  • For COSI the Education Cloud, we are looking
    at the opportunities existing wireless networks
    covering most University campuses provide for
    mobile devices such as iPod Touch/iPhone
    technologies.
  • COSI is supported by a Teaching and Learning
    grant
  • from the Faculty of Engineering, Physical
    Sciences and
  • Architecture _at_ UQ.

  • Evaluation report on existing technologies in an
    education context with respect to cloud
    computing and the iPod Touch/iPhone
  • Configured team collaboration environments iPod
    Touch/iPhone kits
  • How to set-up collaborative technologies
    (including mobile) for virtual teams
  • Inform design of existing (or missing)
    technologies for collaboration
  • Next generation practitioners entering the
    workplace will have online collaboration
    skills/knowledge
