How Do You Earn Credits?
  • Each class is worth 5 credits a semester, so they
    should earn 30 credits a semester to stay on
    track
  • Pass the class with a grade of D or higher and
    you earn the credit towards your diploma, but
    grade does not count towards college admissions
  • Students must take 6 classes each semester during
    all four years
  • If a student fails a graduation requirement, they
    must attend summer school

    History, Civics, Economics
  • Math - 2 or 3 years (must complete Algebra or
    Algebra 1A and Algebra 1B)
  • 1 year Biological Science
  • 1 year Physical Science

  • Physical Education - 2 years (Health required)
  • Applied Arts/Foreign Language/Visual and
    Performing Arts - 2 years between these 3 areas
  • Consumer Health/Employment Education - 1 semester
  • Electives - 75 credits
  • TOTAL 230 CREDITS CAHSEE Algebra (either
    Algebra 1 for 1 year or Algebra 1A and Algebra 1
    B for 2 years).
