Interface
  • - Problem -
  • The SYSPRO Sales Order Entry has only one contact
    information field shown on the screen. In fact,
    customers have many contacts for different items.
  • Therefore, the user needs to access to SYSPRO
    Contact Management system to find all the
    desired contact information.
  • - Solution -
  • SuttonDirect created custom form fields for
    Sales Order module and added them to the Sales
    Order Entry screen.
  • They use the SYSPRO Customize Pane features to
    create a contact information listview.
  • This listview displays all contact information
    which is available from SYSPRO Contact Management
    system.
  • By clicking on the desired contact person
    hyperlink on the listview and selected the
    contact information will be added into custom
    form fields automatically.
  • Users can even update contact information via
    this listview.
  • It is simple and very efficient.

Before importing the customized Listview, Four
custom form fields have been added on the Order
Header form

Enter a customer number
After importing the customized Listview, the
Customer Contact Listview is embeded in Sales
Order Entry module

Custom form fields
Upon entered customer number, all related contact
information from CMS is displayed on the screen

After ending order, this contact information will
be added into the data record
Click on the selected hyperlink to
insert Information into custom form fields

To change the contact information, move mouse to
the target field and double click on it
Click on the hyperlink
Change fax number to 206-555-4522
Change phone number to 206-555-4511
If updating success, a message box pops up to
show Contact successfully changed

Meanwhile, the Customer Contacts refresh and
show the updated data.
The contact information is on the Order Header
form with the new data.
