1 Peter 55-7 And the servant ran to meet her
and said, Please let me drink a little water
from your pitcher. So she said, Drink, my
lord. Then she quickly let her pitcher down to
her hand, and gave him a drink. And when she had
finished giving him a drink, she said, I will
draw water for your camels also, until they
have finished drinking. Then she quickly
emptied her pitcher into the trough, ran back to
the well to draw water, and drew for all his
camels. And the man, wondering at her, remained
silent so as to know whether the Lord had made
his journey prosperous or not

1 Peter 55-7 Whose daughter are you? Tell me,
please, is there room in your father's house for
us to lodge? So she said to him, I am the
daughter of Bethuel, Milcah's son, whom she bore
to Nahor. Moreover she said to him, We have
both straw and feed enough, and room to lodge.
Then the man bowed down his head and worshiped
the Lord. And he said, Blessed be the Lord God
of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His
mercy and His truth toward my master. As for me,
being on the way, the Lord led me to the house
of my master's brethren. So the young woman
ran and told those of her mother's house these
things. Genesis 2417-28

1 Peter 55-7 Isaiah 1412-15 How you are
fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the
morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you
who weakened the nations! For you have said in
your heart I will ascend into heaven, I will
exalt my throne above the stars of God I will
also sit on the mount of the congregation on the
farthest sides of the north I will ascend
above the heights of the clouds, I will be like
the Most High. Yet you shall be brought down
to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.

1 Peter 55-7 One by one He took them from
me All the things I valued most Til I was
empty-handed, Every glittering toy was
lost. And I walked earths highways,
grieving, In my rags and poverty. Until I
heard His voice inviting, Lift those empty
hands to Me!

1 Peter 55-7 Then I turned my hands toward
heaven, And He filled them with a store Of
His own transcendent riches, Til they could
contain no more. And at last I
comprehended With my stupid mind, and
dull, That God cannot pour His riches Into
hands already full. Anonymous

1 Peter 55-7 Appointments are not solely due
to human patronage or won by human effort they
are of God. He brings low and lifts upEquip
yourself for Gods service and be faithful. God
will appoint you in His time, and you will know
that the promotion comes neither from the east
nor from the west but comes from above

1 Peter 55-7 In some unlikely placeperhaps a
shepherds hut or a humble cottageGod has His
prepared and appointed instrument. As yet the
shaft is hidden in His quiver, in the shadow of
His hand but at the precise moment when it will
accomplish its greatest effect, it will be
produced and launched in the air. F.B.
