Title: Northern Ohio Convoy Guidelines

1
  • Northern Ohio Convoy Guidelines
  •
  • Safety first and foremost!
  • As we get ready to start out, the lead car will
pull forward and wait. When you are ready, turn
on your lights and get in line. When everyone is
in line, the anchor position will communicate
with the lead car to proceed.
  • Your position in the convoy is behind the car
ahead of you, not in front of the car behind you.
  • Maintain a snug distance behind the car ahead
of you. Large gaps encourage other vehicles to
    enter the convoy.
  • If a Z consistently maintains a large gap, cars
further back in the convoy are encouraged to pass
and fill in the gap, including the anchor.
  • If separated, maintain contact with Talkabouts
(channel 7.5). Use these directions to proceed
    to the next stop.
  • Gas stops are planned to accommodate the thirsty
///Ms.  If a Z decides to stop off route for gas,
    the convoy will continue rolling.
  • Contrary to popular belief, the slowest pace in
the convoy is in the front and the fastest is in
    the back. Place yourself accordingly.
  •  TIMELINES
  • Plan to be AIS (Ass In Seat) at scheduled
    departure times to travel with
  • the convoy.  Otherwise, you may find yourself
    alone
  • with a route sheet to navigate to the next stop.
  •
  • And remember
  • What happens at Homecoming stays at Homecoming!
  •
