  • The NYC Dept. for the Agings Grandparent
    Resource Center was established in 1994 in
    response to the overwhelming phenomenon of
    grandparents raising grandchildren.
  • The 2000 Census reported that there were 2.4
    Million grandparents in the U.S. raising
    grandchildren.
