What is the Reducing Re-offending Corporate
Alliance? The Corporate Alliance involves
Government working with all employers, from big
corporations to small businesses, from the
private, voluntary and public sectors, and at
national, regional and local levels to improve
offenders employment prospects, skills and
employability.

• Why we are doing this
• Re-offending levels are unacceptably high.
• This is hugely costly for society both directly
  and indirectly.
• Reducing re-offending is a high priority for
  Government but it can not achieve by itself.
• The Alliance can provide employers with a direct
  opportunity to access and influence Government
  policy and practice on offender skills and
  employment.
• A significant pool of resources is locked away
  not contributing to UK plc either in productivity
  or taxes.
• For community minded organisations this is a real
  corporate social responsibility opportunity.
