When and where they lived

• The Iroquois lived in what is now New York.
  The Iroquois lived in the 1600.

Environment

• The Iroquois lived close to water ,so they were
  able to fish and get fresh water. The climate is
  a hot summer ,and a cold winter.

• The Dutch gave them fire arms in the 1600s.

Shelter

• Since the Iroquois lived by trees they were
  able to build long houses.

• Their most important food was corn, beans , and
  squash.

Interesting Facts

• The captives Iroquois solider often kept
  captives and were often adopted to replace the
  dead.
