Calling the Room

• Purpose
• When more senior officer enters
• Only for cadets on LLAB day
• Not in classroom environment in session or where
  not safe

Greeting

• When to greet all the time
• Junior member initiates greeting
• Senior member responds
• Morning, afternoon, and evening

Saluting

• When reporting in
• When outdoors and wearing cover
• Salute when 6-12 paces away or upon recognition
• Do not salute when you are encumbered
• Do not salute from behind
• Proper saluting technique

Verbal and Written Address

• Rank and last name for all active duty members
• When writing, may use the appropriate
  abbreviation
• Sign correspondence with Very Respectfully when
  writing to a senior member
