    audience and deal with issues related to your
    topic but do not yet introduce your specific
    points.
  • Transition to your Main Points
  • State your thesis specifying your topic,
    position, and main points.

Essay Hook your audience by appealing to the
more interesting and popular aspects of a general
audience. Next you will have to transition into a
brief explanation that alludes to the reason of
your three main points are a part of your topic
choice. Then you follow the main points with the
thesis statement which is the focus of your
entire paper. If you do not feel that your thesis
can also work as a transition, you will also need
a transition sentence that makes a connection
with your following body paragraph.

    fascination with the possibility of flight.
