• Purpose
• to guide Committee, staff, and participant
  activities
• to promote acceptance
• to enhance the professionalism and overall
• effectiveness of the program
• Compliance with this code is a requirement for
  participation in the CII Benchmarking and Metrics
  Program.

Committee Staff Principles

• Confidential treatment of data
• Publishing of aggregated data only
• Use of confidentiality agreements
• Permissions from companies
• Use of data to support benchmarking, research,
  and implementation activities
• Contacts through Benchmarking Associates only

Participant Principles

• Avoid activities that might lead to bid rigging,
  restraint of trade, etc.
• Agreement to input representative, complete,
  and accurate data
• Will not seek confidential data from Committee
  or staff
• Commitment to attendance at annual training
  and data validation
