Getting Started with TurningPoint
  • Create/open existing PowerPoint presentation
  • Create new question slide with Insert Slide
    button on TurningPoint toolbar
  • Choose type of slide (most frequently use is
    Generic Slide)

  • Format slide to fit needs
  • After creating slide, choose eyeglasses icon
    from TurningPoint toolbar
  • Click on slide with question
  • Click on correct answer
  • Right-click on Value and choose
  • Correct

  • Click on Participants on TurningPoint toolbar
  • Choose Creates Participant List
  • Branches of Government BrainPop

Group Response Session
  • Open the PowerPoint presentation
  • Click on No Participant List and choose your
    class from the pull-down menu
  • Pass out response keypads according to each
    students assigned number
  • Begin presentation and students
  • respond by pressing the answer of
    choice when a question is asked

After Response Session
  • Collect keypads in order
  • Choose graph icon from TurningPoint toolbar
  • Select desired report (most often
    Correct/Incorrect Response report)
  • View and print report for grades

Tips
  • Plan ahead
  • Pass out keypads when ready to use and take up
    after assessment
  • Fully exit program after each use
  • Read each question and response aloud as they are
    presented for quicker response time
  • Give correct response after response time is up

  • Be sure each student knows personal number
  • Stress importance of learning environment
  • Hang response sensor in central location in
    classroom
  • Select the Print Area on the report you wish to
    print
