The Project

• Our goal to combine our passion of teaching with
  kids and our appreciation of nature.
• The plan to beautify one little corner of
  Franklin school, involving our new business
  partner and our 38 kids in the project.

The TeamSeparate Entities

• Nancy
• Got in touch with Next Generation Wireless, our
  new business partners, to ask for funding
• Contacted local newspaper to get some press for
  both businesses involved

• Becky
• Called Angell Landscaping, as they were a part of
  the Trees for Kids Program
• Got in touch with Buildings and Grounds to check
  for utility lines

But United as One

• Got the classes involved by bringing them
  together outside.
• The kids participated in a cooperative learning
  activity, called Every Tree for Itself to raise
  awareness of a trees special needs.

Getting the Goods

• Angell Landscaping of Marshalltown provided with
  a purple-leaf cherry tree at no cost.
• We purchased a bush and plants at the cost of
  85.00, paid for by Next Generation

Project Day

• Kids were divided into groups tree, bush, flower
  1, and flower 2
• The tree kids started the digging!
