  • Although Caldwell County is materially
    impoverished, they are culturally wealthy
  • Caldwell Countys high school education
    percentage is higher than the national average,
    which could reflect a pride in ones community
    and heritage
  • Even though the high school graduation percentage
    is higher than overall North Carolina and United
    States, their unemployment rate is significantly
    high
  • Those residing in Caldwell County do not have
    access to equitable life chances and
    opportunities to gain cultural capital as opposed
    to more metropolitan or developed counties
