• Whoppers were called Giants in 1932
• In 1947 Overland Company merged with Chicago
  Biscuit Company, Leaf Gum and Leaf Machinery
• Giants were reintroduced as Whoppers

• Whoppers and other brands were purchased by W.R.
  Grace in the 60s
• Milton Hershey bought Leaf company and Whoppers
  were now owned by Milton Hershey

• Whoppers are marketed as The Original Malted

• Originally known as Energy Balls which were
  originally invented by Forrest Mars Sr. in 1936
• Leaf Company introduced a new way to package
  Whoppers, known as a Milk Carton Package

  and in between 1949 and 1952, an egg shaped
  Whopper was introduced for Easter

MY OPINION

• I almost like all of Hersheys candy but I
  dont like Whoppers. But they are still a great
  candy. They are very good for traveling because
  they dont make a mess. Whoppers are good for the
  movies too. I enjoy Recess the most. I enjoyed
  researching Whoppers.
