Simple initiative - easy to implement. Bright
Coloured Gloves Aim To increase focus on hand
and finger placement for job performer reduce
injuries. Draws attention to hand placement by
person observing task.

Coloured Glove Campaign
Rotating glove colour every six months as eyes
become desensitized to same colour. Also assists
in keeping awareness levels up.

Halliburton Results to date Significant
reduction in Hand and Finger injuries (reduction
in all injuries also occurring) in Q4 2003 and Q1
2004. Gloves likely to have assisted in reduction
of some HF injuries, keep in mind this is no
silver bullet, many other Initiatives in effect
as well. Majority of HF injuries in 2003
occurred in summer, therefore further analysis
needed at year end. Worth a try even if it only
prevents one injury!!
