Refrigerator Operation
  • Refrigerator operated in 24 hour continuous mode
    after an initial startup period.
  • ISAC-OPS monitors operation
  • LHe level in cryomodule and supply dewar
    regulated manually by heaters in each volume

  • SCB1 assembled and cold tested

RF Operation
  • Three cavities locked at ISAC-II specification
  • 6MV/m, 106.08MHz, Pfor200W
  • Cavity 1 has an in-vacuum open circuit in the rf
    power feed
  • 24 hour test at ISAC-II specifications completed
    successfully
  • Refrigerator run in continuous feed cycle
  • Frequency tuners effectively track rf frequency
    to maintain lock over a large pressure variation
    in the helium space
  • Some noise problems with two of four rf amplifiers

Cavity Performance
  • All cavities met specification
  • Cavity 4 received a moderate rf conditioning
  • X-ray levels similar to Nov. 2004 cold test
  • Qo did not degrade during inactive period

Acceleration July 7
  • Injected 26Mg6 from ISAC at 1.5MeV/u into SCB1
  • Measured final energy with Si detector
  • Achieved 3.5MV acceleration from three cavities
  • Corresponds to average values of Ea7.4MV/m and
    Ep37MV/m
  • One cavity not operational
