Introduction for Doddiscombsleigh School

Class 1

• Class 1 are taught by Ms Tong. In class one there
  are years reception, one and two. They are the
  youngest children in the school and are aged from
  4 to 7.

Key Stage 2

• Key Stage 2 houses Class 2 and 3. In the
  mornings, Class 3 are taught by Mrs McManus and
  Class 2 are taught by Mrs Evans. In the
  afternoons the teachers vary.

The Office

• The office is where Mrs Lancaster, the schools
  administrator, does all the paper work and deals
  with enquiries. She also answers all the phone
  calls.

New Library

• At the moment we have a new library being built
  for storing the schools books so we will have
  more space in the classrooms. This means that
  children will be able to read whenever they want.
  The children will also be able to have their
  music lessons in this room. The library will be
  finished by the summer holidays.

The Field

• In 2006 a new Trim Trail was built on our school
  field. We raised a lot of money at the 2005 Art
  Show. Also we have an amphitheatre and decking
  built by Studio Designs. We will use the
  amphitheatre for outside lessons and the decking
  will be used by Pre-school and Class One.

The Hall

• We use the school hall for assemblies and some PE
  lessons when its raining. We do singing on
  Thursdays with Mrs Fuller and special assembly on
  Wednesdays with Ms Tong where children take in
  things that are special to them and they explain
  the reason why these items are so important. Mrs
  Evans takes the other assemblies.
