• Battery Delivery
• All Battery Management System (BMS) electronics
  qualification and acceptance test data reviewed
• In compliance with SOW Appendix C.
• Batteries and BMS were shipped the first week of
  March. Scheduled delivery the week of April 3,
  2006.

• UPS SOW Revision B
• Current monitor during performance test (Section
  4.1) will be deleted and 72 hour charge stand
  test will be added (CSIST O.K.).
• Removal of 6 hour duration over-voltage test.
  Yardney CSIST OK
• Other, agreed-to changes in Revision B.
• Redefine electrical interface battery safety
  signal for overvoltage. This is acceptable to
  CAB (CRISA).
• Testing
• Update of UPS thermal acceptance testing based
  upon latest integrated thermal analysis (test _at_
  55C).
• Addition of thermal cycle testing as flight
  acceptance screening for Flight Model batteries
  (actually UPSs). Mandated by SSP 41172 and
  thermal engineering community.

• Further UPS Actions
• Provide portable UPS tester CSIST to provide by
  TBD (before Oct. 2006. Based upon Rev. B test
  requirements, a portable battery tester will have
  to be purchased in Taiwan (US10k 20K).
• Locate UPS fasteners from ESCG Complete.
  Fasteners to arrive the week of April 3, 2006.
• Other On-going Activity
• JSC Safety Analysis Hazard Report no. 18 for
  batteries has been prepared, and is in review.
• JSC Battery Safety form is in work.
