Dangers of Smoking

• 390,000 American die from the effects of smoking
  annually.
• Smokers have more than twice the risk of having a
  heart attack.
• Smokers have two to four times the chance of
  going into cardiac arrest.
• A pregnant woman who smokes increases her baby's
  chances of infant crib death.

• A smoker inhales a substance containing 43
  cancer-causing (carcinogenic) compounds.
• Smoking increases the level of carbon monoxide
  in the lungs.
• About 87 of lung cancer deaths are caused by
  smoking.

• A.K.A Secondhand smoke, Environmental Tobacco

  or carcinogenic
• Causes approximately 3,400 lung cancer deaths.
• Adults who dont smoke can get lung cancer from
  secondhand smoke.
