HOW SHOULD YOU APPLY?

• You MUST come to the Year 9 Options evening, talk
  to the staff from the relevant college put your
  name down on their list
• You will be asked to complete an application form
  which MUST be returned by the deadline you are
  given
• Your parents will be invited to an information
  meeting
• You will be required to attend an interview at
  the college/training provider. Your parents will
  be asked to come with you.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOUR APPLICATION SUCCESSFUL?

• You must return your application by the deadline
• You must attend for the interview
• You must convince the school the college that
  you have the commitment to complete an extra
  course, over 2 years, on top of your GCSE
  programme

• Q. Will this be one of my options?
• No, it is IN ADDITION to your GCSEs
• Will the school arrange transport to College?
• No, most students will travel independently by
  bus
• What about the work I miss while Im at college?
• It will be up to you to see the relevant teacher
  get work to catch up on at home
• If I change my mind, can I drop out?
• A. No, once you are accepted on to a course you
  must continue for the two years
