THE GPS approach

• The Navigation Satellite Timing And Ranging
  Global Positioning System (NavSTAR GPS) is based
  on 24 satellites orbiting around the earth and
  receivers located at points to be surveyed.

Simulations

• Other parameters considered in the test are ?E,
  ?F and Irefresh.
• ?E represents the difference between ?sim and the
  expected speed computed by the M_GIS at the time
  (tits),
• ?F is the angle formed by the two speed vectors,
• Irefresh represents the minimum straightline
  distance covered at a constant speed ?path for
  which no updating of the runway condition can be
  obtained and
• depends on ts and jvpathj (Irefresh ts ?path).
