• God made them male and femaleshall leave
  fathermother and the two shall become one.

1st Reading

• This story from Genesis tells us about the
  creation of man. Man is superior from all other
  created things. There is equality in human
  nature both man and woman are dependent on one
  another. And God made all things good.

2nd Reading

• Jesus is our Brother who takes upon all our
  sufferings and humiliations. He did these things
  for us. He did these to be part of us and so also
  bring us to His glory.

Gospel

• Jesus gives us the basic teaching on marriage (we
  shall see later). And the brief scene with the
  children completes the whole teaching. Only those
  with child-like disposition can accept these
  teachings.

• A Man a Woman
• God created man and woman.

• Severance
• A man /woman shall leave his father and mother

• Acceptance
• the two shall become one.

• Intimacy
• the two shall become one flesh.

• Permanent / Forever
• what God has joined together, no human being
  must separate.

• Finally, Jesus told us to welcome children in our
  lives, especially in our families.
