Title: R'M'S' TITANIC

1
R.M.S. TITANIC
  • SINKING THE UNSINKABLE

2
The good ship Titanic set sail from England on
April 10th, 1912 and headed for New York
3
The Titanic was built on a massive scale and no
expense was spared making it the most grand ship
ever to set sail across the ocean.
4
The ship was captained by Edward John Smith and
carried passengers from all walks of life
including the rich and famous.
5
On April 14th, 1912, 4 days after the titanic set
off on its journey, it hit an iceberg that tore
into the ships hull. The Titanic immediately
began to take in water, slowly but surely, the
Titanic was destined to sink.
6
The crew tried to get as many passengers on the
few lifeboats they had on board. There werent
nearly enough lifeboats to save all the people on
the ship and many were destined to die. Women and
children were sent first into the freezing night
with hope that they might survive.
7
Widespread panic set through the ship as it
started slowly to raise its rear as the water
started to sink the front into the icy depths.
Passengers and the crew made their way to the
back of the great liner in a last desperate bid
to save their own lives.
8
Then, in one almighty crash, the Titanic split in
half and sank to the bottom of the ocean, taking
those left on board into the darkness of the
abyss and into history books forever.
9
Out of all the lifeboats that were waiting
nearby, only one went back to check for any
survivors. All the people who hadnt sank with
the titanic were dead from the freezing cold sea.
The unsinkable ship had been sunk.
10
The Titanic struck the iceberg at 11.40 pm and
took exactly 2 hours and 40 minutes to sink the
lives of 1517 people. It had turned into the most
major disaster of the time and became a story to
be told throughout the world.
11
The R.M.S Carpathia was alerted to the disaster
and went to aid in the recovery of any survivors
from the freezing cold waters.
12
Out of all the people who boarded the Titanic,
around 715 survived one of the most tragic
disasters ever to be reported. The story became
legend, the story of hope and despair. The most
famous story of all time.
13
Technology now has allowed us to visit the wreck
of the Titanic in great detail. The huge
structure lies at the bottom of the ocean and
still holds many secrets and mysteries untold.
The legend of the Titanic lives on.......
