Function of the OSHA
The main function of the OSHA is to ensure that
employers provide employees with an environment
free from recognized hazards, such as exposure to
toxic chemicals, excessive noise levels,
mechanical dangers, heat or cold stress, or
unsanitary conditions.

Agency Responsible for Regulation/Enforcement of
the OSHA
  • - The agency was created by Congress and the
    Bureau of Labor Statistics
  • The OSHA employs a staff of 2,150 and there are
    1,000 inspectors
