7State sanitary inspector- requirments
- 1) is a citizen of Poland,
- 2) has full capacity to perform acts in law and
possesses all public rights, - 3) is a physician or attained the area
specialisation under procedures prescribed in
other regulations, or is a graduate of other
higher school and attained an area specialisation
in medicine, - 4) through her civil attitude gives the guarantee
of proper execution of tasks of an employee of a
state organ, - 5) is in the health condition allowing for
employment at the specific post.

10Trainings in the frame of PHARE project
- PHARE 2001 Chemical Directives and
Administration programme - In 2001 the European Commission has accepted the
Chemicals Directives and Administration
programme. Its aim is to protect human health and
the environment from the adverse effects of
chemical products. The programmes principal
objectives are the implementation of EU
regulations on marketing and use of chemical
products as well as the improvement of
surveillance over the marketing and use of
chemicals. The programme provides forTraining
courses for the staff of surveillance
authorities. The courses shall involve the
Sanitary Inspection, Labour Inspection,
Environment Protection Inspection, Trade
Inspection and the Customs Services

- 90 inspectors of Sanitary Inspection were trained
- 6 inspectors took part in study visit in Sweden

- trainings of about 90 inspectors from poviat and
voivodship inspectorates (classifications,
labeling, SDS) - establishing of chemical expert network from
trained inspectors

infrastructure of authorities responsible for
enforcement of compliance with legislation
concerning placing on the market and the use of
chemicals through1. improvement of the
capabilities of the staff of selected sanitary
inspectorates through the short-term study visits
in selected EU Member States.

- 60 inspectors of Sanitary Inspection were trained
( 3 rounds of train.) - 18 inspectors took part in 3 study visit in
Germany (Dortmund) and Austria in Viena

- Preparation for the implementation of the
legislative package REACH - The overall objective of this Twinning project is
to assist the Republic of Poland in the
sustainable preparation and implementation of the
new European policy concerning chemicals,
contained in the legislative package REACH
(Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation and
Restriction of Chemicals).
