BRAZIL Brazil, located in South America, is the
fifth largest country by geographical area, the
fifth most populous country (almost 185 million
people crazy about futebol national sport -
and proud of its unique and rich culture) and one
of the ten largest economies in the world.
Brazil can be considerate a good example of
multicultural and multiethnic society many races
and ethnic groups live together in a very

large area comprises different ecosystems (e.g.,
Amazons basin, Pantanal and Atlantic forest),
which together sustain some of the world's
greatest biodiversity. Brazil is very famous for
the beauty of its beaches and women, for "Samba"

already know about France this is where you
could have the longest vacations you can dream of
as an MBA graduate, and take advantage of those
to go skiing, drink champagne, to the Cannes
Festival, or bring your date to the most romantic
city ever. But France is also the first country
in the world to have its President divorce his
wife and elope with an ex-model within less than
his first year of term. The French are clearly
trend setters when it comes to love, sex, cheese,
strikes, haute-couture, nuclear energy, labor
unions, cynicism, wine and arrogance. Come to
our booth to discover all of what makes France a
wonderful country, including food that doesn't

ISRAEL The State of Israel, an independent
nation in southwest Asia, is located between the
eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea and the
head of the Gulf of AQABA, an arm of the Red Sea.
Israel was established on May 14, 1948, as a
Jewish state. Israel is considered the Holy Land
for Christians, Jews, and Muslims. The official
language of Israel is Hebrew. English is widely
used as a second language, and recently Russian
has become commonplace. Israeli food customs also
conform to the wider Mediterranean region, with
lunch, rather than dinner, being the focal meal
of the day. Jewish customs also have an
influence, so Shabbat (Sabbath) dinner, and to a
lesser extent Shabbat lunch, are the main festive
meals in Israeli homes.

JAPAN Japan is a country famous for its
technology and manufacturing. And most people
point out the technological superiority of big
companies like Toyota or Sony, but real strength
lies in small manufacturing companies spreading
all areas in Japan. Other than industry, Japan
is a country blessed with beautiful nature, and a
country treasures its history, culture and its
traditions. Popular Sumo wrestling was
originally a ceremony to hope enough harvests.
Also, Hanami, which is kind of outside Sake
party under cherry blossoms, is one of the
traditional ceremonies to celebrate the beauty of
nature. Regarding Sake, Izakaya which provide
cheap but delicious Sake and foods, will make you
funny and drunk easily. Also, we have lots of
oriental foods other than Sushi. You can see lots
of Soba restaurants or Ra-men shop all around
the city. Anyway, come by Japan table and feel
the oriental menu and traditional performance.

MEXICO Fun Facts Mexico City was founded on a
lake by the Aztecs and is currently the 3rd
largest city in the world with 20 million people.
Mexico introduced chocolate to the world. A
Mexican scientist invented the color T.V.
Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California used
to be part of Mexico. Mexico is part of North
America. The worlds smallest volcano is in
Puebla, Mexico and is called the Cuexcomate.
Cinco de Mayo is not the Mexican Independence,
it is a celebration of a small Mexican army
(4000) against a French army twice as large and
it is a small celebration in Mexico. Mexicans
speak Spanish, not Mexican. Not every Mexican
food is spicy and Mexicans dont eat chips and
salsa.

PERU Peru lies on the Pacific coast of South
America just south of the Equator. To the Quechua
Indians Peru means "land of abundance." The Inca
capital was Cusco, but the Spanish founded Lima
in 1535 along the coast and made it their
capital. The western seaboard is desert, where
rain seldom falls. The Andean highlands occupy
about a third of the country and contain mostly
Quechua-speaking Indians. East of the Andes lies
a sparsely populated jungle the major city of
this region is Iquitos.

PUERTO RICO / DOMINICAN REPUBLIC Puerto Rico
(a.k.a. Borinquen) and the Dominican Republic
(a.k.a. Quisqueya) are Caribbean neighbors that
share a common history and flavor! Although PR
is a US Commonwealth and the DR is not, both
countries were initially home to the indigenous
Tainos, and were later on colonized by the
Spanish, who brought African slaves to work in
their sugarcane and coffee plantations.
Therefore, the people of PR and DR are a
beautiful mixture of the Spanish, Taino, and
African cultures. Our language, food (Rice and
beans! Plantains!), music (Salsa! Merengue!) ,
and joyful way of life reflect this unique
mélange. During the 20th century, a great
influx of people from PR and DR moved to the US
in search of better opportunities. Today, there
are large Puerto Rican and Dominican communities
throughout the US, especially in New York City!
Today, both islands are amazing vacation
destinations full of hard-working people who love
their country and continue to bring about
progress.

miles Official Language English (Others
Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, and various Chinese
Dialects) Attractions Hawker Centers, Night
Safari, Sentosa, Asian Civilization Museum The
first records of settlement in Singapore are from
the 2nd century AD. Singapore comes from the
Malay words singa ("lion") and pura ("city").
This name was given by a 14th century Sumatran
prince who landed on the island and spotted a
beast that his chief minister identified as a
lion. In 1819, Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles from
the British East India Company arrived in
Singapore and developed it as a British trading
post and settlement. Singapore became an
independent republic in 1965. At first glance,
Singapore appears modern and anonymous, but it is
an undeniably Asian city where Chinese, Malay and
Indian traditions from feng shui to ancestor
worship create part of the everyday landscape -
colorful contrasts that bring the city to life.
