• Remember the Human!
• It is easy to forget that your
  correspondent is a person with feelings more or
  less like your own.

? Would you say it to the persons face? If
the answer is no, rewrite and reread.
?Another reason not to be offensive online.
Chances are that your words are stored somewhere
you have no control over them. In other words,
theres a chance that they can come back to haunt
you.

• Adhere to the same standards of behavior online
  that you follow in real life.

• Know where you are in cyberspace!

• Netiquette varies from domain to domain.
  Netiquette is different in different places, its
  important to know where you are.

• Lurk before you leap!
• When you enter a domain of cyberspace thats new
  to you, take a look around before participating.

Respect other peoples time and bandwidth.
Bandwidth-the information carrying capacity of
the wires and channels that connect everyone in
cyberspace.

• You are not the center of cyberspace
• Dont expect instant responses to all of your
  questions, and dont assume that all readers will
  agree withor care about-your passionate
  arguments.

• Rules for discussion groups
• To whom should messages be directed?

• Take advantage of your anonymity.
• Know what youre talking about and make sense.
• Dont post flame-bait!
