messages with Microsoft Outlook Express

2Step 1 Send a request through SAP to activate
your POP Voicemail box. The cost is 60 annually
Step 2 Left Click on the TOOLS button. Step 3
Left Click on Accounts.
3Step 4 Left click on the Mail tab. Step 5 Left
click on Add and then left click on Mail
4Step 6 Enter you full name and click on next.
5Step 7 Enter your UM E-mail address and click on
next.
6Step 8 Left click on the drop down menu and
select POP3.
Step 9 For the Incoming mail server please enter
the information provided.
Step 10 For the Outgoing server, please enter
the information provided and click next.
7Step 11 For the Account name please enter the
last four digits of your UM phone number.
Step 12 For the Password enter your current
voice mail password and click on next.
8Step 13 Please click on Finished and continue
with the additional instructions.
9Step 14 Select voicemail.olemiss.edu by clicking
it one time. Then click on Properties.
10Step 15 Click on the Advanced tab. Enter the
port number provided for the Outgoing and
Incoming server. Finally, click on OK.
11Please click Close. You may now test you new
account by leaving yourself a new voice mail
message, then click on your send/receive button.
12THINGS TO REMEMBER
- Once your voice mail is downloaded by e-mail, the
Message Waiting Indicator on your phone will
turn off. - Once your e-mail has downloaded your voice
messages to your PC, you will receive a message
that you do not have any new voice mails on the
system if you login to your voice mail via phone.
