What Has HCHD Done Up to Now?

  • 4,000 hours public health emergency planning
  • 2,400 hours training and exercise (NIMS!)
  • 15 of 25 HCHD staff NIMS 300/400 trained
  • Fully mobile HD/ICP (w/power) for all emergencies
  • Essential Personnel Exercise with City of
    Westfield
  • Spring Influenza Response
  • Activation of ICS HCHD and EMA
  • WHO drove the response activity early on
  • Existing Pandemic Plan NOT adequate
  • defaulted to our level of training NIMS/ICS and
    DOC/SNS
