The program is designed to build the Knowledge,
Skills, Confidence and Character of all those
involved - young and old alike - in a nurturing
environment. It equips our young people to be
leaders at home, school, work, community and
church. What the program is NOT It is not to
make someone feel that they are earning their
way to heaven, or that they are better than
others because of their successes.

Most events in the Lads to Leaders Leaderettes
program are designed for students grades 3
through College. Some events, however, allow for
adult and / or pre-K 2nd grade participation.

resolution is being developed.  It will be on

Project Leader Ronnie Pam Williams Bible Bowl
Test Only Bible Bowl is an excellent means of
encouraging Bible study, as well as emphasizing
consistent study habits. In doing so, students
grow in their knowledge of the Scriptures and
ability to quickly reference Bible facts. All
students will be expected to participate at least
on an individual level. Book Genesis Participatio
n Grades 3 12 Awards Trophies are awarded to
the ten highest scorers in each grade division.

Herring To emphasize the fundamental importance
of Bible reading and to strengthen the foundation

    mothers with children by babysitting.. Planting

    for upcoming event.. Helping prepare Bible
    school, Thursday School or Vacation Bible School
    materials.. Helping lead a Bible school class or
    in Vacation Bible School.. Helping in the church
    library.. Designing Bulletin Boards at church..
    Preparing meals/treats for shut-ins, parents of
    new baby, death in the family, etc.. Singing at
    the nursing home or for shut-ins.
  • Any other deeds that benefit someone else without
    receiving any compensation in return and also
    glorify God.
  • Family and school responsibilities are NOT
    considered Good Samaritan services.
  • All activities must be completed without
    receiving any compensation.

Leadership Awards There are 18 different awards
that provide a variety of ways in which students
can grow in their walks with God and become
well-rounded leaders. Participation Determined
by congregation. Leadership awards are very
important in earning college scholarships from

student to visually convey their message in

VanZant To train young men to fulfill the role of
song leaders in the church, since singing is a
vital part of the worship service.
Participation Grades 3 College compete.

as well as finalists, in each grade.

accomplished speakers and Bible class teachers by
requiring them to deliver speeches to worship
assemblies, Bible classes, devotional groups or

or schools. Participation Grades 7
College. Awards Trophies are awarded for the
following levels of achievement Bronze 24-35
total presentations of 12 different
speeches Silver 36-47 total presentations of
12 different speeches Gold 48 or more total

Bible Bowl Team (Pam Ronnie Williams) Bible
Bowl is an excellent means of encouraging Bible
study, as well as emphasizing consistent study
habits. In doing so, students grow in their
knowledge of the Scriptures and ability to
quickly reference Bible facts. Book
Genesis Participation Open to students in grades
3 - 12. Awards 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies
are awarded to each member of the top three teams
in each grade division. Finalist awards are
presented to all other participants in the final
oral rounds that take place at the annual
convention.

Debate (Boys and girls separate) A training in
deep study of the Scriptures as it relates to
lifes issues and knowledge of how it is
appropriately applied. It is designed to promote
consideration of both sides of the question and
the observance of standards of procedure, which
keep the discussion within bounds and ensure a
fair hearing to both sides of an issue. Topic
The final wording of the resolution is being
developed.  It will be on teaching about Creation
in schools. Participation Open to students in
grades 9 - College. Awards 1st, 2nd and 3rd
place trophies are awarded to each member of the
top three teams and to the top three individuals
in the high school and college divisions.

Banner (Debbie Williams) Banners are a team
expression of the annual Convention theme. There
are two different categories of construction
materials. This competition is to encourage team
organization and creativity among our youth with
the design process and construction being done
solely by our young people. The banner should
also be displayed in the church building after
convention. Participation Open to all students.
Awards 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons are
awarded to the top three banners in each category.

Puppet Theater (Tami Reeves Karen Ray)-
Advanced In scheduled meetings and rehearsals,
students learn Bible stories that will become
plays to be performed. Students learn team work
and presentation skills. Performances are
scheduled at Nursing homes, Childrens homes,
Hospitals and at home congregations as a
community outreach. Participation Open to
students in Kindergarten through College. Awards
There are three different levels of group awards
based on the number of presentations made not
including practice sessions.

team work and presentation skills. Plays are
performed at convention. Presentations prior to
convention count toward Advanced Puppeteering

students in Kindergarten - 12. Awards 1st, 2nd

three teams in each grade. Each team member also
receives an individual award.

  • Scholarships Lads to Leaders
  • Starting in 6th grade, students have the
    opportunity to earn scholarship money every year
    to one of the following Christian Universities
  • Freed-Hardeman University York College
  • Lipscomb University Ohio Valley College
  • Faulkner University Heritage Christian
    University
  • Harding University
  • Records are to be kept each year. Applications
    are sent in during students senior year of high
    school. NOTE Lipscomb scholarships can be
    accumulated beginning in the sixth grade.

In the works To earn the scholarship, the
student must actively participate in and complete
the 5 talent servant program and earn a minimum
of either a Bronze Centurion of Scripture or
Silver Good Samaritan. Also We will pay the
