Size

• Range from supergiants that are large to dwarfs
  which are small.
• Their density is dependent on the size of the
  star.
• The smaller stars are more dense
• The sun is an average star.

Color and Temperature

• The color of the star helps to determine the
  temperature of the star.
• Blue and white stars are the hottest and red and
  orange stars are the coolest.

Brightness

• Brightness depends on size, temperature, and
  distance.
• The hotter the star the brighter the color.
• The sun is very bright because it is closer to
  us.
• Apparent magnitude depends upon distance.
• Absolute magnitude depends on a stars size and
  temperature.

  on stars according to their surface temperature
  and brightness.
• Most of the stars are in the Main Sequence group.
