Key Considerations

• Radioactive material CANNOT be made
  non-radioactive
• Remove the contamination
• DONT spread it around
• Contain the contamination
• Start with the least intrusive method
• Mild detergent and water works well in most cases
• Last resort is surface removal
• Monitor the surface as you go

• Avoid spread of contamination
• Work from least contaminated area toward most
  contaminated area
• Take care not to track the contamination around
• Use minimum amount of liquid
• Periodically re-monitor the area
