Innovation cooperation
  • The aim of the project is to promote cooperation
    between innovation centers, technology centers,
    business incubators, research units and
    innovative companies in the area of South-East
    Finland and St. Petersburg and Leningrad oblast
    in Russia.
  • The project is implemented between November 2003
    and December 2007. It is financed from the
    Interreg III A South-East Finland-Russia -program
    and the Finnish financing is provided by the
    Employment and Economic development centre of
    South-Savo.

Innovation cooperation
  • The project consists of the following activities
  • research of innovative activity in North-West
    Russia
  • creation of a network of technology centers,
    innovation centers, business incubators, research
    units and innovative companies in both project
    implementation countries
  • contact forums for research and business contacts
  • conducting organization/company based research
    and business contact tours to both countries
  • support and development of cooperation

Promoting of subcontracting between South-East
Finland and St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region
in Russia
  • The overall aim is to promote the
    internationalization process of Finnish companies
    working in the wood processing and metal industry
    in the project area. The project is focused to
  • help Finnish companies to find Russian partners
    for subcontracting
  • develop the knowledge of subcontracting
    co-operation with Russian companies
  • promote the companies business in Russia
  • develop the knowledge of business environment in
    Russia having focus on subcontracting
  • create database of Russian companies in metal
    industry and wood processing

Cooperation of Women entrepreneurs across borders
2004-2007
  • Cooperation between Finnish and Russian women
    entrepreneurs is considered as one of the most
    important fields to be promoted. During years
    2000-2004 already four programs have been carried
    out by the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of
    Trade and Industry, the Employment and Economic
    Development center of South-Savo, the Small
    Business center of Helsinki School of Economics
    and Women's Entrepreneurship Center and Social
    and Economical Institute of St. Petersburg.

  • The project "Cooperation of women entrepreneurs
    across borders (2004-2006) has the following
    aims
  • to promote and develop cooperation between
    Finnish and Russian women entrepreneurs
  • to widen networking
  • to improve skills required in international
    cooperation and business
  • to support the planning and implementation of
    cooperation
  • to strengthen research and expert cooperation
    concerning women entrepreneurship
