What are Conjunctions??
  • There are four types of conjunctions
    Subordinating, Correlative, Conjunctive Adverbs
    and Coordinating!
  • Conjunctions join two words, phrases or
    independent clauses.
  • Most of us use conjunctions in everyday sentences
    without even noticing.
  • Examples- And, Of, But, However, Since, Because,
    For, Either/Or

Coordinating Conjunctions
  • Coordinating conjunctions join two like things.
  • Examples- And, But, Nor, For, Or, So, Yet
  • Find the Coordinating conjunctions- Devon and
    Conners core is
  • theatre, but Isabelles core
  • is visual.

Subordinating Conjunctions
  • Subordinating conjunctions join two unlike
    things.
  • Examples- As, If, Since, When, Because
  • Find the Subordinating Conjunction- Drews
    favorite subject is strings, because
  • thats his core.

Correlative Conjunctions
  • Correlative Conjunctions are more than one word.
  • Examples- Either/Or, Neither/Nor
  • Find the Correlative Conjunctions- Neither Drew,
    Isabelle or Devons core is
  • dance,

Conjunctive Adverbs
  • Conjunctive adverbs are conjunctions that also
    act as adverbs.
  • Examples- However, Furthermore, Nevertheless
  • Find the Conjunctive adverb- However, I have
    never been to a school play.
