• There is a negative correlation between weight
  and salary.

• The correlation coefficient is -0.86 which
  indicates a strong negative correlation and this
  is supported by the fact that the points lie
  close to the line of best fit. There is one
  point lying further from the line of best fit ie
  an outlier, indicating a weight of 59kg and a
  salary of 58000. This is possible and there is
  no reason to suspect an error. I can use the
  line of best fit to estimate that a person
  weighing 80kg would earn 32000. Because there
  are only 15 points on this graph I cannot be
  confident that my results are meaningful.
