  • is a creative innovation andwriting contest for
    high schoolscience students conducted by the
    American Chemical Society (ACS) and written with
    the National Science Education Standards in mind.

  • Teacher Affiliates
  • The Teacher Affiliates Group is a group of high
    school teachers form North Jersey who are
    affiliated members of the section. Dues are 15
    per year. All members of the group receive the
    INDICATOR monthly and are entitled to attend all
    sectional functions. We welcome new Affiliates.

  • North Jersey Section Education Committee
  • Oversees educational activities and awards in the
    section. The Committee specifically administers
    the Edward J. Merrill Award for High School
    chemistry teachers and cooperates in the
    dissemination of information and the
    recommendation of nominees for other regional and
    national awards.

  • Strengthens the contribution of women in the
    chemical sciences in the NY-NJ area.
  • Serves early and midcareer scientists through
    programming and invites graduate and
    undergraduate students to participate.

    give scientiststhe resources and training
    necessaryto share hands-on science withschool
