Hybrid Network Architecture

• MCP is based on an open network architecture
• DVB-T and DAB are examples for broadcast
• GSM/GPRS or UMTS are examples for mobile telecom
  systems
• All radio systems can tunnel IP packets,
  multicast as well as unicast
• Multicast is more efficient with broadcast
  systems
• Asymmetric individual point-to-point could use
  DVB-T or DAB (regulation has to be changed)
