OGCE Portlet Software

• A bundled set of JSR 168 compatible portlets and
  services for building Grid Portals and Science
  Gateways.
• Builds with GridSphere.
• Can work with uPortal.
• Sakai (version 2.4) has Pluto 1.1-based JSR 168
  Container
• Others possible (Liferay, JBoss, etc)
• Portlets include
• GT2 and GT4 GRAM/WS-GRAM Job submission
• GridFTP file transfer
• GPIR clients (can work with local or TeraGrid
  services, for example)
• PURSe grid registration system.

• MyProxy credential management

• Sakai collaboration clients

Supporting Grid Portlet Development

• Java CoG Abstraction Layer developed for OGCE
  project
• Hides the difference between Globus versions
• Provides support for DAG-based workflows
• Used by Grid portlets
• GTLAB JSF-based tag libraries and extensions to
  simplify Grid portlet development.
• Based on CoG abstraction layer

• JSR 168 Velocity portlet support.

• Download versions are available from OGCE website

• GPIR Grid Information Web Services
• Available on all TeraGrid resources already.
• You can also install your own system, which will
  work with the OGCE GPIR portlet
• Generic Application Service Factory (GFAC)
• Helps you wrap science application codes as grid
  services and create portlet interfaces.

• We use a Maven 1.0.2/Maven 2.0.5 based build
  system for the main portal distribution.
• Sweetened with Ant 1.6 and shell scripts.
• The build system is designed to work with
  TeraGrid resources
