Background for this effort
  • Over 15 different assessment tools being used by
    the majority of states
  • Existing assessment tools were not developed to
    measure the three outcomes
  • ECOs response Crosswalking or mapping
    frequently used assessments to the outcomes
  • Work with assessment developers publishers and
    state staff to develop guidance for how to use
    assessment results to generate OSEP-requested
    data

Purpose of Publisher Work
  • Finalize the crosswalk alignment with developers
    and publishers
  • Determine feasibilty of using the instrument to
    report outcomes
  • Capacity of providing age-anchored benchmarks
    (typical/ below typical)
  • Develop scoring profile to enable states to
    report childs progress
  • Develop computerized or web-based reporting
    format
  • Maintain integrity of instruments
