  • Materials

  • Montessori Beads
  • Markerboard

  • Multiplication tickets

  • Lay out the chain and tickets so that they are
    clearly visible.
  • Count the beads and place the tickets in the
    appropriate places on the chain of 6s.
  • Beads/tickets are pink for multiples of 6.

  • To do division
  • Find the ticket that contains the dividend.
  • Mark it with a finger
  • Count the number of groups before it.
  • State the problem
  • How many groups of 6 are there in x?

Bead Work - Division 2
  • Remove the ticket and place it near the sheet.
  • This insures that the student keeps his/her
    place, and allows for re-counting.
  • Say the problem while writing it on the sheet.
